This masterclass shows how to integrate AI into patent portfolio management and invention development. You learn AI-supported problem identification, idea generation, rapid novelty checks and trend analysis, and leave with a practical, repeatable workflow for stronger IP and innovation decisions.
Your speaker
What to Expect
- Impact of integrating AI into the patent portfolio management process on an organization's innovation and IP strategy
- Use of AI tools in patent processes
- Evaluating existing patents and trends to understand patterns of challenges and generating new ideas using AI
- Problem (Challenge) Identification and Invention Development with i.a. AI-assisted TRIZ
- Patent Search and Novelty Testing of AI-Generated Ideas
- Practical Mini-Hackathon
Who Should Attend
Do you work in a corporate IP or R&D department, deal with invention management and seek to integrate AI into your workflow?
Then this is the right course for you. Basic knowledge of how generative AI works and patent search is assumed. Programming knowledge is not
required. Initial experience with prompting is helpful.
Commercial IP GenAI tools will not be presented.
Objective of the Event
This masterclass equips you to integrate AI systematically into patent portfolio management and your organization’s innovation and IP strategy. You will learn how to match AI tool capabilities to concrete IP workflows. Building on this, you will evaluate existing patents and trends to understand patterns of challenges, apply AI-assisted TRIZ methods to surface contradictions and generate solution concepts, and perform quick novelty checks through AI-guided query design and rapid database screening. The day ends in a practical mini-hackathon to consolidate methods on realistic use cases, enabling you to leave with a repeatable playbook for AI-enabled invention development and portfolio decision-making.
Your Benefit
- You learn to use AI in a structured and efficient way throughout the entire IP workflow, improving analytical depth and reducing manual effort
- You generate and assess invention ideas more quickly and reliably through AI-assisted TRIZ, systematic problem identification and rapid novelty checks
- You strengthen decision-making for your patent portfolio and innovation strategy by identifying synergies, understanding trends earlier and prioritising more confidently based on data
