During the course, participants will delve into the various use cases of generative AI in patent-related tasks. Key areas of focus will include how generative AI can enhance the efficiency and accuracy of patent searches, assist in the drafting of patent applications, and offer innovative solutions to complex technical queries in the patent field. The curriculum is structured to provide practical, hands-on experience, ensuring
that attendees gain not only theoretical knowledge but also the skills to apply generative AI directly in their patent work.
This intensive one-day course aims to equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively use generative AI in
their patent practices. By the end of the course, attendees will be well-prepared to integrate generative AI into their workflow,

The course materials consist of the presentation slides as well as jupyter notebooks (with instructions on how to use them) that will allow attendees to run basic LLM code in their own environments (provided they have the compute resources). In terms of the specific case-study examples, Sebastian will be demonstrating the specific case studies but, other than the basic jupyter notebooks, there will not be scripts/code/models for attendees to copy directly. But Sebastian will be giving enough information away so that a user who knows how to code should be able to build a similar data flow (attendees' own models still need to be trained).
