IT Tools to Support Programme Implementation

Christian is managing director of rechenwerk GmbH. After graduating with a business degree in computer science and planning in 2001, he began his career as a freelance IT consultant for the Ministry of Economics in North Rhine-Westphalia, working on the ERDF-Programme and gaining experience in monitoring system development. Notably, he developed an integrated data warehouse for analyzing project indicators and financial data. In 2010, he founded rechenwerk. Since then, he has engaged in various programme evaluations providing data support and quality checks, developing web applications and Business Intelligence systems. He has also contributed to articles on e-Cohesion and has conducted two e-Cohesion feasibility studies. His expertise extends to supporting users in different roles, serving as a project manager. Currently he works for several Jems using programmes (MED, EMR, BY-CZ, Brandenburg-Poland, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern-Poland, ABH) providing hosting, maintenance and development.

Aija Prince, a project manager at the Interact programme, leverages her IT expertise in developing the Joint Electronic Monitoring System (Jems). Previously, she played a key role in crafting the first Interreg community monitoring system, eMS. Aija's professional journey includes serving as the Head Deputy of the Territorial Cooperation Project Control Department at Latvia's State Regional Development Agency and contributing significantly to the development of the first-level control system for the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development. She also worked as a project manager for the Riga City Council. Aija holds an MA in law from the School of Business Administration Turiba and a Master's in Project Management from the University of Latvia, along with certifications in system coaching, APC, and team coaching.

As the project Lead/ Manager for e-Cohesion and monitoring system serving 120+ public institutions in Poland, Katarzyna Kromke-Korbel brings a wealth of firsthand experience in implementing and monitoring structural funds at various levels, including beneficiary, IB, and MA, from 2003 to 2009. Since 2009, her focus has shifted to the Coordination Body level, where she initially served as a Business and Data Analyst. (responsible for translating legal requirements into technical specifications, software testing, user training as well as establishing national guidance on e-Cohesion and monitoring systems), subsequently, as Deputy Director managing teams in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Project Support for national web applications and Business Intelligence systems (2007-2013, 2014-2020, 2021-2027 financial perspectives) with key responsibilities on each project phase from planning till the system shutdown. Katarzyna holds a Master's degree in International Relations from the University of Warsaw and has pursued postgraduates studies in project management, evaluation and data science.

Eleni Sakka holds a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens. She started her professional career as a freelancer working in various EU co-funded research and development projects. Since 2017, Eleni has been a member of the Development, Infrastructure and Data Exploitation Team of the MIS that manages all stages involved in the planning and implementation of projects and programmes from the highest (NSRF/CSF/EEA and ESF+, ERDF, AMIF, ISF,) to the lowest level (project/sub-project and payment documentation). During these years, Eleni has been instrumental in developing and implementing interoperable web services between public sector IT systems, building open data web services and translating business analysis requirements into technical specifications. She is an expert in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), and technologies such as Oracle Service Bus (OSB) and Oracle Database.
