This online seminar provides knowledge on how to best reduce IP risks in R&D collaborations through contract design and management.
Many R&D cooperations face considerable legal challenges. The cooperation between companies and research institutions often leads to conflicts, particularly with regard to the allocation and utilisation of IP. These conflicts can jeopardise the success of a project if they are not recognised and proactively addressed at an early stage. Contracts often lack preventative mechanisms that could defuse potential
disputes in good time, and there is a lack of tried and tested procedures for downstream dispute resolution.
By attending the seminar, you will learn how to identify and minimise legal risks in R&D projects and minimise them at an early stage. Our experts will show you how to avoid conflicts through targeted contract drafting and which measures are available in the event of a dispute. You will receive practical insights into tried and tested dispute resolution mechanisms and their application to national and international cooperations. Real case studies will illustrate how you can successfully manage IP risk in critical situations and efficiently resolve disputes.
